Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak spoke on Good Morning Britain (GMB) on Thursday to discuss his Budget announcement on Wednesday. Due to Mr Sunak’s popularity and perceived competence in his role in the Cabinet, some have argued he could eventually become Prime Minister. When asked whether he had ambitions to become Prime Minister, by the GMB hosts Mr Sunak sidestepped the question.
Mr Sunak insisted that his job was to focus on the recovery of the economy after the coronavirus pandemic.
