Strictly celebs rally around Tom Fletcher and Amy Dowden as they miss shows due to CovidSeptember 27, 2021

The Strictly Come Dancing celebrities and professionals have rallied around Tom Fletcher and Amy Dowden after they tested positive for Covid-19, meaning they will be forced to miss this weekend's live show.
On Sunday the McFly Instagram account revealed that Tom wouldn’t be performing at their show in Glasgow as he was “unwell”, with the 36 year old telling their fans he was “so sorry”.
It was then later revealed that both Tom and Amy had tested positive for coronavirus and will have to self-isolate for 10 days.
A statement on the McFly Instagram account read: “Further to our last message we can now confirm that Tom has tested positive for Covid-19.
"He is now self isolating and following the latest government guidelines. Please join us in wishing him a speedy recovery.”
Amy, 31, also shared her own message and revealed that she is thankfully isn’t suffering from any symptoms.
The Welsh dancer posted: “Unfortunately Tom and I have tested positive for COVID-19. I'm not suffering any symptoms but am now isolating at home.”
Confirming that the pair will be back for the third live show, she added: "I have no doubt that over the next 10 days my mind will be going crazy with choreography ideas ready to get back on the Strictly dance floor for the live show in week 3!
"Thank you for all of the support and good luck to the couples this week, I will be cheering you all on!"
Their fellow Strictly celebs and pros were quick to show their support for the couple, with Gorka Marquez writing: "All the love to you and @tomfletcher. You guys will be back soon."
Katie McGlynn commented with a sad face and love heart emoji, while Sara Davies said she was “gutted we won’t see you both”.
Karen Hauer added: “Love you babe”.
"We love you, can't wait to see you soon," wrote Oti Mabuse, while Dianne Buswell added: "Love you. See you back on the d floor soon xx."
Tom also commented on Amy’s post and said the pair would need to “pull something special” out for their next performance.

The musician wrote: “Rest up partner. We’ve got to pull something special out of the bag for week 3”.
Tom and Amy impressed the Strictly judges with their debut dance, performing a cha cha cha to September by Earth Wind and Fire.
The pair scored a respectable 21 points of out 40, but with the standard being so high this year, Tom and Amy found themselves fourth from bottom on the leaderboard.
