Stephanie Davis’ soap comeback! Ex-Hollyoaks star lands heated Coronation Street roleMay 16, 2023
Summer often means big storylines in the soap world and with that in mind, Stephanie Davis and Ryan Early have joined ITV's Coronation Street to bring a sizzling summer storyline onto our screens.
The duo will be working together on a steamy affair storyline that is set to rock the famous cobbles when they appear on screen in July.
Former Hollyoaks actress Stephanie, who played Sinead O’Connor in the Channel 4 soap, has been cast on the show as Courtney Vance, who is the glamorous wife of one of Dev Alahan’s business associates.
That business associate is Darren Vance who is going to be played by actor Ryan Early, who may be best known for playing Lee Bryce in the BBC radio drama The Archers.
As Dev and new character Darren spend time talking business, it is set to become clear that Courtney has her eyes on something else and begins to pursue a fling with Dev’s son, Aadi Alahan.
It isn't long before young Aadi is caught up in a web of deceit as Courtney finds ways for the pair to meet up behind Dev and Darren’s backs.
Both Stephanie and Ryan started filming on the iconic street this week and they are set to make their on screen debuts in July.
Speaking about the role Stephanie, 30, said: "I am absolutely delighted to be joining the cast of Coronation Street, playing the part of Courtney Vance.
"Growing up I have always watched and loved the show, so to be part of the biggest TV soap in Britain, which is in the hearts and homes of so many people, is an honour."
As for 44 year old Ryan he has said: "I am so thrilled to be playing Darren Vance on Coronation Street and joining the most iconic Soap.
"I grew up watching the show with my grandmother so to walk on the cobbles is such an honour.”
Whilst Coronation Street Producer Iain MacLeod has said: “In Stephanie and Ryan, we have cast two fantastic actors as the catalyst for this fun, fiery storyline.
"Aadi will quickly find himself way out of his depth as he risks everything for Courtney. And while it is the best time he’s ever had in his life, he stands to end up in a whole heap of trouble!”
Aadi has been on the cobbles since 2006 and viewers have watched him struggle for a relationship with his father until recently when Dev took him under his wing allowing him to learn the business.
