Spoilers: Stabbing horror revealed for terrified Alya in Coronation Street
February 14, 2023A few weeks ago in Coronation Street, Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) saved Maria Connor’s (Samia Longchambon) life by jumping in front of Blake (Adam Little), a teenage boy who intended to stab Maria, who had started a drop-in centre at Speed Daal.
As a result of the heroic act, Alya sustained stabbing injuries to her stomach and was rushed to hospital.
She’s been in recovery but next week, back at work, Alya realises the mental scars are going to take a little longer to heal.
As Zeedan (Qasim Akhtar) leaves the cobbles for time in London, Alya wanders home from the tram station but comes across a man called Jayden in the solicitors’ office, a client who’s been accused of stabbing someone.
Before Adam (Sam Robertson) and Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) can stop her, Alya angrily describes what it is actually liked to be stabbed.
Fortunately, Alya finds a friend in Ryan (Ryan Prescott), who listens as she unburdens herself and suggests she should put it all in her personal victim statement.
But will Alya listen to Ryan?
And will this ultimately help her heal?
