Spoilers: Mel dies in catastrophic EastEnders crash as her revenge explodes?

November 5, 2019

Mel Owen’s (Tamzin Outhwaite) obsessive revenge plot against Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) could be the death of her as she is so determined to destroy Sharon and her husband Phil (Steve McFadden) that she ends up the victim in a horrific car crash – but will she live or die?

It’s no secret that Tamzin has finished filming her role as Mel and recent scenes were revealed which saw her film a high speed car chase with Letitia, which ends in disaster. Ahead of the terrible sequence of events, Sharon has made her plan to tell Phil the truth about the baby clear.

Due to what happened with Hunter, Mel won’t rest until she has ripped the family apart and even her best mate Lisa Fowler (Lucy Benjamin) is terrified by how far she plans to go – and begins to worry that she is unhinged and needs professional support.

Mel meanwhile is planning to expose the truth at a joint party she has planned for Sharon and Louise (Tilly Keeper) so Sharon does all she can to avoid it coming to fruition – by warning Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) to get Louise away at all costs.

With Phil heading back to the country having heard from Mel that Sharon is selling E20, Sharon slips away from the party and speeds to the airport, but Mel is soon in close pursuit. As she catches up to Sharon, a dangerous chase occurs and, determined to ensure Phil discovers the devastating truth, Mel calls Billy (Perry Fenwick) and orders him to hold the phone to the airport tannoy so she can make an announcement.

Sharon will do anything to stop her betrayal coming to light – but how far will she go to stop Mel? As events spiral out of control, the chase ends in catastrophe and Mel’s life is left hanging in the balance.

Is this the end of the road for her?
