In his last Instagram post, shared the day before Red Nose Day 2023, S Club 7 member Paul shared part of a skit that saw him competing for a spot in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. He appeared alongside some huge names including Graham Norton, Lulu, Sam Ryder, Dermot O’Leary and Miranda Hart.

In the clip, the judges explained they were on the hunt for the UK’s next Eurovision entry.

Fans of the star have already taken to the comments section to pay tribute to him, with phu5708 saying: “Very tragic news most of the fans are looking forward to their tour later this year.

“RIP Paul. Our thoughts go out to the people who loved him.”

Hayleyloveschris added: “RIP beautiful soul. Gone too soon.”

In the Eurovision skit, Lulu joked: “You won’t believe who’s trying to get in on the action.”

The camera then revealed the group, including Paul, walking out on stage as they attempted to reel off their credentials.

However, the judges did not seem too impressed with their resumé, seemingly having no idea who they were or how popular they were.

Entering the room Rachel announced: “So, we’re S Club 7!”

Unfortunately, Lulu didn’t believe her as she replied: “Nice try! S Club 7 are a bunch of teenagers.”

Hannah Spearritt reminded her they were teenagers, a long time ago.

Paul was found dead at his home on April 6, just weeks after he and his bandmates announced plans for a 25th-anniversary reunion tour later this year.

Shortly ahead of the Comic Relief appearance, the band had appeared in full force on The One Show to announce their tour.

The 90s band left fans in a frenzy as they announced the tour which will feature their biggest hits.

Paul was joined on the iconic sofa by his bandmates Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O’Meara, Jon Lee, Rachel Stevens and Tina Barrett.

Bradley went on to give fans insight on what they can expect, adding: “We are bringing in nostalgia, obviously.

“We are bringing in the late 90s, early noughties, it’s very positive, our music.

“I’m thinking in today’s times we need a bit of positive, we need a bit of picking up and that’s what we are here to do.”

Viewers could not believe how well the band had aged, with @venomenomx saying on Twitter: “Sorry what, how does Tina from S Club still look like a teenager and she’s 46??? WOW #theoneshow #sclub7.”

Iain Morris added: “S Club 7 have barely aged a bit.#TheOneShow”
