No Time To Die theories: James Bond killed in Mathilde twist as Daniel Craig steps downJune 15, 2020
James Bond has been played by Daniel Craig for the past 14 years. His first outing as the iconic character was, of course, in the 2006 version of Casino Royale. Since then, Craig has taken on the mantle three more times, with his fifth and final venture as Bond taking place in the forthcoming film No Time To Die.
All eyes have been on Craig and director Cary Joji Fukunaga on what is going to befall the hero in his next outing.
While it has been confirmed No Time To Die will be the final iteration of Craig’s Bond, fans of the franchise have become keen to figure out what is going to happen to the character next.
But could Craig’s final film as the titular character show off his untimely death in order to save someone he loves?
Recent reports have shown Craig on set of the new film sporting a brand new look.

However the biggest surprise of the new film has been reports that Bond will kick off the movie as a father of five-year-old Mathilde.
Speculation quickly arose online between Bond fans over whether Mathilde was the daughter of newcomer Madeleine Swann (Lea Seydoux).
While nothing is confirmed just yet, it is extremely likely the No Time To Die narrative will focus on Mathilde and her wellbeing.
Although Bond has put himself in harm’s way numerous times throughout the franchise, he has never truly been willing to die for his mission.
Viewers witnessed his furious passion for Casino Royale’s femme fatale Vesper (Eva Green), but his actual daughter may prompt him to do whatever he can do keep her safe.
This may even include giving up his life in order for her and her mother – perhaps Swann – to get away safely.
Instead of seeing Daniel Craig playing James Bond as he rides off into the sunset one final time, will viewers see Bond be killed off once and for all?
Bookies have already begun pinning the role between three newcomers.

A spokesperson from Coral bookmakers recently suggested James Norton, Sam Heughan, and Tom Hiddleston were primed and ready to take over from Craig.
They said: “The betting now firmly points towards James Norton becoming the next 007 as this is the shortest odds any actor has been to take over from Daniel Craig.
“Sam Heughan and Tom Hiddleston have also been linked with the role and are all prominent in the betting.
“However, we believe Norton is the number one choice for the role.”

“So I think we’re going to really shock people.”
