January 19, 2023

NETFLIX has confirmed that one of its most-loved animated shows is coming to an end after just two seasons.

Dead End: Paranormal Park made its debut last year with two back-to-back seasons but has now been dumped by the streaming service for any more.

The show was an adaptation of the DeadEndia graphic novels and the show's boss has now confirmed that all unanswered plots from the Netflix series will come to an end in new editions of the book.

Hamish Steele, the show's creator, revealed that Netflix decided to pull the plug on the show a long time ago but he had been hopeful that they would reverse that decision and bring it back for another go-around.

He even admitted to prepping a third season of the programme with some writers in the chance that the streamer might renew the show.

Hamish admitted: “We have scripts and designs and outlines ready to go."

In a lengthy Twitter post he confirmed the show's cancellationas he said: "It is with a heavy heart that I tell you Dead End is over."

He went on to add: “It was always the plan to give these characters the proper ending they deserve. But sadly, the powers that be don’t want any more. Honestly, we were lucky to make it through everything happening in the last few years.”

"Sad day… but I believe we will finish this story some day, some how."

The show's boss told fans how he is hoping to offer 'closure' by giving the characters their final send off in the third graphic novel of the series, which he is currently developing.

Hamish confirmed that the third novel contains mostly plot lines he was expecting to tell on a potential third series of the show.

The animation is the latest in a long line of wildly popular shows to be given the boot by Netflix executives.

Neil Patrick Harris' romantic comedy Uncoupled was recently axed after one singular season.

It saw him play a New York-based real estate agent who is back on the market after recently ending a 17-year relationship.

Despite some passionate fans, viewing figures appear to show that the programme only made it into Netflix's top 10 programmes for one sole week in July 2022, bringing into question its true appeal.

As well as this, Snowpiercer recently found itself culled from the service after airing three seasons.

The show was already scheduled to end with its fourth season, and filming had already wrapped on the production for the final time.
