My Parents Are Aliens' Josh is unrecognisable after dramatic transformation 23 years on from hit show

February 3, 2022

SPIKY-HAIRED Josh Barker from My Parents Are Aliens looks out of this world, having transformed from a geeky telly star to a hunky rocker.

Actor Alex Kew now looks nothing like he did when the last episode of the ITV show was broadcast 23 years ago.

The TV star is now an otherworldly heartthrob as he sports a much trendier look with a slick hair do and impressive beard.

The singer pursued a music career when the kids' telly show came to an end in 2005.

Luckily for his fans who want to keep up with him, Alex is no alien to social media and regularly posts pictures from his gigs, and on his website he revealed he is working on his debut LP.

As well as attracting fans with his sounds, these days he’s also rather easy on the eye.

Alex shot to stardom when he was cast as Josh Barker on My Parents Are Aliens in 1999, which followed the lives of three orphaned children and their alien parents – Brian and Sophie Johnson.

The show, which was a huge hit, ran for an incredible 106 episodes and scooped awards for Best Children’s Drama, including twice at the Royal Television Society Awards.

Despite also bagging roles on shows such as 2Point4 Children, The Bill and Coming of Age as a youngster, Alex now looks to be focused on his career as a solo musician.

Danielle McCormack, who played Josh’s oldest sister Lucy, is also now a singer/songwriter and musician.
