Max George has gone into quarantine ahead of his appearance on this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

Max, 32, took to Instagram on Wednesday night to reveal to his 129,000 followers that he was spending his "last night for a while" with his girlfriend Stacey Giggs.

The pop star – who used to be a member of the boyband The Wanted – referred to his lady using the red heart emoji and can be seen holding hands with her in the black and white photo.

Stacey is the ex-wife of footballer Ryan Giggs and has been enjoying a romance with Max since April 2019.

Stacey shares two children with her ex-husband – Libby, 17, and Zach, 13 – whom Max now plays stepdad to.

Max's fans were quick to comment on the sweet post with many leaving heart emojis.

Referring to the loved-up pair, one person wrote: "Aww!! I am so happy for you both!!!"

Others wished Max good luck for his stint on Strictly, with one person posting: "U will rock it Max," while another declared: "You will do great."

Max will join the likes of Caroline Quentin, Maisie Smith and Jamie Laing in competing for the Glitterball trophy this year.

Along with the celebs, the professional dancers will also go into quarantine before filming begins for the BBC show.

Earlier this week, Max's ex-girlfriend Carrie Baker warned Stacey that he could fall for the dreaded Strictly curse.

The model, who was in a five-year relationship with the pop hunk, revealed how Max revelled in the attention of other women including pop queen Jennifer Lopez and UK beauty Amy Willerton.

Carrie told The Sun: "I wouldn’t like to be in her shoes. Everyone knows what Strictly is like — and I know what Max is like. He’s a serial flirter.

"I thought I was going to marry him and have his children. I’ve never been in love like that and it broke my heart when he left.

"He handled it all wrong and people need to know the truth," she added.
