They acted together in the US legal drama Suits.

Bit actor Max Beesley refused to answer questions about his co-star Meghan Markle during an appearance on Good Morning Britain.

Appearing on the show to promote his new show Hijack, in which he stars alongside Idris Elba, Max was asked by hosts Ed Balls and Susanna Reid about the Duchess of Sussex.

Pointing out that he hadn't had much experience working with her, as he had only appeared in a few episodes of Suits, he described her as a "great actress" before awkwardly refusing to discuss her further.

However, following talk of his latest on-screen venture, former MP turned TV personality Ed asked: "One more chance… Meghan Markle?"

Dodging this question, Max instead gestured at the table in front of them, which was covered in newspapers, exclaiming: "What a lovely array of newspapers you've got here!"

Viewers at home were rather critical of the presenting duo's decision to ask Max about Meghan, with one tweeting: "Really? You’ve got @maxbeesley7 there & you’re still obsessed with Meghan Markle? Well done Max for not answering."

"Well done to @maxbeesley7 for sidestepping the questions on Meghan Markle. You clearly looked uncomfortable but dealt with it well" added another.

And a third complained: "Find it really odd how @GMB is so obsessed with Meghan Markle regardless if the story doesn't relate to her they always manage to drag her name into the conversation."

It comes after Meghan, and husband Prince Harry, confirmed their lucrative podcast deal with Spotify had ended.

Announcing the end of the collaboration, Spotify and Archewell Audio released a joint statement which said they had "mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together.”

Meghan and Harry signed a reported $20million deal with the streaming giant, but a source has claimed to the Wall Street Journal that the couple "did not meet the productivity benchmark required to receive the full payout.”

And the Duchess has since been accused of faking interviews for the podcast.

Podcast-focused outlet Podnews ecently reported that multiple sources said that Meghan had various staff members conduct interviews with the guests, and then the royal's own voice would be edited into it.

Without referencing specific episodes or sections of the Archetypes podcast, the outlet reported that: “some interviews on the show were done by other staffers, with questions edited-in afterwards”.
