Mary in Emmerdale fears being a full time carer will break Rhona foreverApril 12, 2022
Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson) is watching Rhona (Zoe Henry) with fear in her eyes as her daughter puts all of her effort into looking after Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) in Emmerdale.
We’ve seen Mary express her concerns a few times since Marlon’s stroke, but because of her relationship with Rhona, she hasn’t really listened.
Rhona has completely ignored Mary’s wishes to grab a bite to eat or enjoy some retail therapy for an hour or so, convinced she should dedicate all of her time to either seeing Marlon, or putting things in place ahead of his return home.
Coming up, Mary confides in Faith (Sally Dexter) over the stress Rhona’s under, worrying how she’ll cope as a full-time carer.
In the hospital, the consultant assures a gutted Marlon that although she’s pleased with his progress, he’s in the best place possible to continue getting better.
Meanwhile, when Rhona returns home, she lashes out at Mary, who’s in the pub with Faith.
Is Rhona running on empty?
Is she capable of looking after Marlon and helping him with his recovery when he eventually returns to the village?
