Love Island’s Coco says Islanders use phones to get around outside informationJuly 20, 2022
Coco Lodge has explained how Love Island contestants manage to find out gossip about the outside world, while not actually leaving the villa.
Each year, Islanders are kept in quarantine ahead of entering the villa and they also have their smartphones confiscated to ensure they are kept out of the loop about what is going on.
Islanders have also revealed in the past that the phones they use in the villa are "jailbroken" so they can only receive text messages from producers and use the camera feature.

However, Coco has revealed a nifty way around the producer's efforts when a new Islander enters the villa.
Speaking on TikTok, the graphic designer explained: "Whenever a new bombshell comes in or us Casa girls, everyone wants to know what's going on in the outside world.
"We're not allowed to talk about it and if we start we get told off by the voice of God, coming from above.
"So, we communicate through the phones, so we write secret little messages to each other under the duvet, people want to know how many followers they're on.
"Or what's in the press about them and obviously it's hard not to tell your friends or your new coupled person, so you do write secret messages to each other on the phones."
Speaking on Roman Kemp's Capital FM Breakfast programme, Coco previously disclosed: "We also had like a 24-hour break before the Casa Amor recoupling just to get into the boy's heads a bit, so have them thinking about whether we are the better option than all their girls."
The brunette bombshell also opened up about the social media trolling she faced, saying she was not expecting it.
She told the Celebrity Gogglebox star: "I just didn't expect it because I wasn't pre-warned.
"When I got my phone back, it was literally on the way to the airport and I was reading all these comments about my appearance, and how I look and I was literally shocked."
Coco and Josh Samuel Le Grove were brutally axed from the villa last week [July 15].
The pair were made to leave the famous villa after discovering they were the bottom two after a public vote.
Coco and Josh found themselves among the six least popular Islanders alongside Tasha Ghouri, Summer Botwe, Andrew Le Page and Deji Adeniyi.
It was later revealed they had received the lowest public votes and were dumped from the villa which meant Deji and Summer were left single.
