Love Island's Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey SNUB Towie co-stars from their wedding

December 10, 2018

Fans of the show were delighted when the Love Island winners made their debut on the reality show alongside baby Freddie-George.

Despite appearing multiple times, Nathan and Cara have revealed that they failed to make friends on set.

And they will only be inviting two of the show's stars to their upcoming nuptials – their pals Tommy Mallet and Georgia Kousoulou.

"We won’t be inviting people we met one time," bride-to-be Cara told OK! magazine.

"The wedding is for us, not for the pictures."

Cara made her first appearance on TOWIE with Georgia shortly after her and Nathan's brief split, then after they reunited there was barely a dry eye in the house when Nathan asked Tommy to be their son Freddie's Godfather.

Other celebrity friends on the guest list include fellow Love Island stars Scott Thomas and Rykard Jenkins.

Showbiz couple Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash will also get an invite.

Meanwhile, X Factor star Scarlett Lee will sing, as Cara explained: "We saw her and we were talking about her singing at the wedding and she said, 'I'd love to!'"

The couple also spoke about their split in 2017, and Nathan admitted: "I hold my hands up, I needed to grow up and we needed time away from veach other. That time apart was the best thing we’ve ever done."

Cara added: "We had months where we didn’t even talk! It was so hard because people were asking me about Nathan; he was there at the pregnancy scan but we didn’t really like each other.

"But in the back of my head I was thinking, anything you say is out there forever and I didn’t want Fred to grow up and see that Nathan and I had slated each other in the press.

"I went on This Morning and I was singing his praises and in my head I was thinking, I can’t stand him [laughs]! I’m so thankful neither of us did that. Fred’s already going to get slated enough in the
playground because his mum and dad were on Love Island!"

Cara has revealed their son will be a "big part" of their wedding.

"Fred will be a big part of it. We’re not sure about other page boys and flower girls as we want it to be quite small and intimate, and we’re allowing everyone to bring their kids anyway," she revealed.

And they hope to have another baby after the wedding, as Cara said: "By the end of next year I’d like to be pregnant. I love being pregnant. I miss my belly!"
Nathan added: "I’d love a girl."

Nathan and Cara are the last winners of the show to still be together.

Last week Dani Dyer announced her split from Jack Fincham with Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay also failing to go the distance.

Nathan and Cara briefly ended their relationship in April 2017 before Cara fell pregnant – but after reuniting the couple are now stronger than ever.

The full interview is available to read in the current issue of OK! Magazine, out today.
