Love Islanders who reunited with exes – Playboy, and cancelled weddingJune 17, 2022
Love Island promises viewers a summer full of sun, sex and drama as a group of singletons couple up in an effort to find true love and win the £50,000 prize money.
For some, like Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, their on-screen romances end up going the distance, but others aren't as lucky.
Whether it's being dumped during a recoupling, choosing to leave early, or splitting up months after the show, some contestants find themselves single once they return home.
And it seems some are desperate to leave the world of grafting behind and instead choose to rekindle their romance with an ex.
Before going on Love Island, Lucinda Strafford was in a relationship with footballer Aaron Connolly and was even rumoured to have still been secretly dating her former beau during her time on the ITV show.
However, Lucinda shut down the speculation, telling fans that they had ended their relationship four months before she jetted off to the villa.
But the pair soon relit the flame, with Aaron even making it Insta-official, posting a snap of them looking loved-up in Playboy Halloween costumes.
Back in September, Lucinda was pictured with Aaron as the pair enjoyed a shopping trip in London.
At the time, a source told The Sun: "They were together all day shopping in London, and looked very comfortable with each other – definitely like a couple."
Unfortunately, the pair seem to have ended their on and off relationship and have unfollowed each other on social media.
Dani Dyer is one of Love Island's most famous contestants.
She is the eldest daughter of EastEnders actor Danny Dyer and has gone on to present shows with her dad.
In 2018, Dani appeared on Love Island and coupled up with Jack Fincham, with the fan-favourites going on to win the series.
It seemed as though the couple was going to last, but Jack confirmed they had split nine months later. Dani then went on to date her ex Sammy Kimmence.
The pair share one son together, Santiago, who was born on January 23, 2021.
However, Dani and Sammy split after he was jailed for three-and-a-half years for defrauding two pensioners.
Olivia Attwood appeared on the third season of Love Island and came third with her partner Chris Hughes.
However, speaking to MailOnline, Olivia branded Chris "toxic" and said he drove her back to a relationship with her ex-boyfriend footballer Bradley Dack.
Olivia said: "Sometimes that's what happens and it pushes you back to your ex. After that we needed a good year to find our footing as a couple again. I still wasn't sure.
"It was toxic with Chris and we argued a lot. I never had that problem with Brad, we never argued."
Brad and Olivia became engaged in 2019 and were due to marry in June 2021, but they were forced to cancel due to Covid-19 restrictions.
They had to delay their wedding again in 2022 following Brad's cruciate knee ligament injury.
Abi Rawlings didn't have much luck finding love in the villa. She originally coupled up with Toby Aromolaran but was left single when he returned from Casa Amor with Mary Bedford.
Abi was later dumped from the villa with Dale Mehmet, but the pair failed to find a romantic connection.
Speaking to FUBAR Radio, Abi said she was "just really good friends" with Dale and that there was "nothing romantic there".
She also said that she was "actually dating someone at the moment," revealing that the mystery person was her ex-boyfriend David Fitzpatrick.
Abi said: "He was actually the first person I messaged once I got my phone back."
The couple have been sharing snaps of their relationship on Instagram and even bought a house together in February.
