Love Island viewers fear for Will amid claims Jessie has ‘ulterior motive’

January 26, 2023

Love Island viewers were left fearing for Will Young on the ITV2 dating show as they believe Australian bombshell Jessie Wynter is playing a game and doesn't really like him.

Will, 23, wasn't having much luck on this year's winter edition of the series until Jessie and her fellow bombshell Aaron Waters, who are also previous contestants on their home show, entered the villa.

In dramatic scenes, the pair came in ready for drama, but Jessie had her sights set on sweet farmer Will almost instantly.

While everyone in the villa was over the moon for Will, who is fast becoming a fan-favourite on the show, viewers aren't convinced that Jessie's motives are innocent.

Instead, many are worried that Will is already falling head over heels for the stunning brunette contestant, but the feelings aren't reciprocated.

What's more, some are concerned that the only reason Jessie picked Will to get to know, is because he was the only completely single boy at the time, with previous reports that Jessie was "fake".

"will is falling HARD i’m worried for the boy #loveisland," one fan tweeted.

Another wrote: "I’m not sure if Jessie is playing a game but I hope she doesn’t hurt Will #loveisland

"Jessie is really selling Will a dream #LoveIsland," a third posted.

While a fourth wrote: "It’s so sad that she’s playing Will #loveisland," followed by: "Jessie definitely has an ulterior motive with Will #loveisland."

"How is this going to work though realistically because Will can’t move his farm half way across the world #loveisland," another fan wondered, not convinced that the logistics will be enough to keep the couple going.

Others could see how smitten Will is, but are unsure Jessie is on the same page.

On the other hand, lots of viewers have already picked the transatlantic couple as their favourites in the villa, with some even begging for producers to give them the £50,000 now.

"Will and Jessie have it all. If you can't see that you can't see at all #LoveIsland," one fan declared.

Elsewhere, there's massive trouble in paradise for Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins, who were initially tipped as this year's winners.

While the pair seemed strong and ready for a recoupling, the arrival of bombshell Ellie Spence changed everything.

Not only did the newcomer choose Ron in the recoupling before he could get the chance to lay his feelings out for Lana, but Ron is already flirting and getting to know Ellie.

In the promo clip for Friday night's instalment, Lana was seen crying and sharing her feelings with friend Olivia Hawkins, 27, as she said she gets "too nice" and as a result boys "walk all over" her.

In dramatic scenes, the camera then cut to Ron declaring he'd "f****d it" with Lana.

Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2
