Love Island stars allowed to masturbate but ‘not in front of each other’

January 23, 2020

Every year on Love Island there is a morbid curiosity about the rules surrounding masturbation in the famous villa – are they allowed to do it? Are they not?

Questions might just have been answered now thanks to the show's narrator Iain Stirling , who says he thinks they can, under one condition.

The Scottish comedian, who provides the voiceover for Love Island, told Vice: "I imagine they're asked to follow the normal masturbation rules: not in front of people? Not in communal places?"

The question of masturbation inside the villa comes up every year, with last summer's series getting a lot of people wondering about it.

Last year saw islander Sherif Lanre booted out of the villa with little explanation, with viewers forced to try and figure it out for themselves.

Theories involving him spending too much alone time in the showers spread online before he spoke out and revealed the real reason for his ejection.

He eventually admitted he'd accidentally kicked Molly-Mae Hague in the crotch and joked about it being a "c*** punt".

Previously, a Love Island representative explained that there was "a strict briefing for all islanders regarding acceptable behaviour before they go in".

They added that there were "strict guidelines on sexual behaviour in the villa" as well as "constant monitoring of islander behaviour once in the villa".

And 2019 islander Francesca Allen confirmed a no masturbation rule, telling Daily Star Online: "That is a true thing. But I don't think you'd want to anyway.

"I didn't have any urges at all in there. Not even to kiss a boy. I'm quite shy when it comes to men."
