Love Island reunion as Lucinda and Sharon join Eyal Booker and Kimberly Wyatt at Yungblud gigAugust 27, 2021
CHART-TOPPING musician Yungblud entertained a host of stars, including Olympic diver Chris Mears and pop royalty Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt, at an open-air concert last night.
Love Island personalities Lucinda Strafford, Sharon Gaffka and Eyal Booker were also among the star-studded attendees at the gig outside Samsung KX in London’s King’s Cross.
The Brit Award nominee, whose album ‘Weird’ topped the UK album charts, was joined on stage for an encore by the London Community Gospel Choir and the acclaimed graphic designer Aries Moross for a special three-way collaboration on the single ‘Mars’.
The 24-year-old singer, known for his post-emo sound and provocative stage presence, played to 1,000 lucky fans in total at the intimate gig.
He performed a seven-song set, featuring ‘Parents’, album title track ‘Weird!’ and brand-new single ‘Fleabag’.
The concert was put on to launch the new z flip and z fold Samsung phones, with the show’s design taking inspiration from the new handsets which allows three apps to run simultaneously on the same main screen.
Post-show, Yungblud said: “I’ve loved every minute of performing for my fans over the last few weeks man.
“After such a long time out from playing live, to be part of this Samsung experience that brings three different amazing acts together has been wild.
“Collaborating with Aries Moross, a personal hero of mine, who’s pushing the boundaries of sexuality and gender, and the London Community Gospel Choir on a song that means so much to me was something I’ll remember for a really long time.”
