Love Island in new fix row as fans claim show is ‘set up’ to keep islander in – and beg ‘open the public vote’ | The Sun
February 27, 2023LOVE Island fans are claiming producers have fixed the show to keep Olivia Hawkins in until the final.
Viewers are begging the show to "open the public vote" instead of letting the Islanders decide each other's fate.
Martin Akinola was dumped from the villa after Tanya Mahenga decided to recouple with Shaq Muhammad.
Before that, viewers voted for their favourite couple – putting Tom Clare, Samie Elishi, Olivia and Kai Fagan and Ellie and Jordan were at risk after receiving the fewest votes as a couple.
But it was down to their co-stars to send a couple home, which saw Olivia and Jordan leave the villa.
It follows previous years where producers mixed the dumpings between public vote and Islanders' decision.

One fan said: "I've been thinking this since Casa, but now I feel like I may be right, the only reason they don't do a public vote is to keep Olivia from being in the bottom."
Another added: "This is pure speculation but since the begining I feel like she is "protected" somehow, or just friendly with the producers.
"Whether it's giving her way to much screen time from day one, or now, avoiding her being in the bottom again, especially when Kai will definitely not be there.. it's just way too suspicious."
Someone else said: "Olivia most likely has strong relationships with people who produce the show.

"She’s been on so many Love Island projects in some capacity she most likely has those relationships working in her benefit."
One wrote: "I honestly feel she is a hired actress (and actually not that good of an actress) to stir the pot… so, we don't like her but production needs her there in case they need drama."
A fan added: "Didn’t someone say that Olivia was more or less groomed by producers to be on the show?
"I think there’s something sus about it. They make sure to introduce people regularly to randomly save her."
A Love Island spokesman insisted: "This is nonsense."
