Love Island 2019 episode 6 – What happened last night? Recap, gossip and highlights from the sixth episodeJune 10, 2019
LOVE Island's resident air hostess Amy Hart opened up about her turbulent love life and expressed her feelings to Curtis Pritchard, following the first elimination.
Meanwhile, Yewande Biala was ecstatic to find out she was heading on a date with newcomer Danny Williams, and Molly-Mae started having second thoughts about Tommy Fury. Here’s the lowdown of what occurred in episode six.
What happened in episode six?
Amy had gushed to Curtis: “I’ve just met loads of people. Gone out on dates. Get mugged off by them. Repeat. But I’ve met someone nice now so it’s fine!”
All of the couples spent quality time in getting to know each other on a personal level: Joe Garratt told Lucie Donlan that she reminded him of a chicken mayo sandwich while Michael Griffiths and Yewande discussed their worst phobias.
Sherif Lanre seemed intrigued to know more about Anna Vakili’s profession as a pharmacist, telling the brunette beauty: “You’re a smart girl”.
“The best bit of the job is that someone can have a problem and you help them. And they come back and say ‘thank you so much, you helped me’. That bit of it is rewarding”, Anna responded.
Meanwhile, Anton Danyluk didn't hesitate to let Tommy know that he’s interested in getting to know Molly-Mae but stressed he doesn’t want any bad blood between the two.
Tommy was somewhat annoyed by his talk with his fellow islander, venting in the Beach Hut later on that he almost feels like he’s stuck in yet another love triangle.
When Anton approached Molly-Mae later on in the day, he told her that he only had eyes for her – a compliment which the model took well.
“Obviously, I’m just going to keep getting to know you. You’re the only girl in here that I’ve got an interest in, to have something more than a friendship. That’s how I feel.”
The following day, Anton continued with his attempt to impress Molly-Mae, who expressed in the Beach Hut: “The boy [Anton] can’t do enough for me and I can see it’s genuine”.
She added that Anton was doing a much better job at wooing her than Tommy, before adding that she felt torn by her decision to become a couple with the boxer.
As the episode went on, the contestants were seen being treated to a party where games around the fire pit had everybody's attention.
When questioned to answer what Molly-Mae’s most attractive quality was, Tommy said it was her teddy bear, and it seemed the social media influencer was not happy with that answer at all.
Sherif and Anna had a heart-to-heart after the game to talk about their experience as a couple in the villa thus far.
The rugby player expressed his inner feelings when he said: “You’re smart, you’re intelligent and you haven’t really had your head turned by any of these boys. That to me is attractive. I love that! Honestly, you have melted me a little bit".
After Anna mentioned she was a little shy, the two cuddled and shared a kiss on the terrace – it went without saying that Sherif was pleased with how his day had turned out.
On the swing seat, Michael and Amber Gill were having a conversation about potentially seeing whether they could make a good fit together.
Michael mentioned that he wanted to get to know the beauty therapist a little better and Amber certainly seemed interested in the offer.
“Amber is fit and she is a very funny girl”, the firefighter said in the Beach Hut.
“I don’t really know what she thinks about me but I do feel like there is a bit of an attraction there. I do think she actually likes me. But we’ll just have to wait and see.”
In the end, Yewande was super excited to learn that she was about to head out on a date after having received a text message revealing that she’d be joined by newcomer Danny Williams.
All the girls were happy for Yewande, who certainly couldn't contain her excitement in knowing that she was finally going to get some romance in her life.
“I’m excited to get ready and get glammed up and go on the date. I’ve been looking forward to going on a date so it’s nice to get out of the villa and meet someone new and hopefully form a romantic couple.”
