Rumours are circulating that the BBC's Louise Minchin may be in this year's I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here after her departure from her job.

The presenter, 53 will be leaving her job at the BBC on Wednesday after 20 years working for the company.

However, it is now thought that ITV may have their eye on her.

The line up for I'm a Celeb hasn't yet been confirmed but a few names are being thrown about of who could be living in the Wales' castle for a few weeks.

The Sun reported that a source said: “There’s a long tradition of reality TV shows targeting news presenters and I’m A Celebrity is no different.

“Victoria Derbyshire was on the show before and proved very popular with viewers.

“ITV are hoping they can do the same with Louise and have approached her about coming on board.

“They are still very much casting stars to head to Gwrych Castle and they’ve got a decent offer to put to Louise.

“If she takes them up on the offer she could be going head-to-head on rival channels with her old BBC co-star Dan Walker, who is on Strictly Come Dancing this year."

They also mentioned that the 'friendly rivalry' is one of the reasons why ITV are keen to get Louise involved.

It was confirmed earlier in the year that the show would be making a return to the castle in Wales after uncertainty that they would be able to film from the usual Australian jungle.

This will be the second year in a row that Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will host the show from Wales.

The Liverpool Echo reported some of the rumoured contestants for this year's series which include Jamie Laing, Tommy Fury and Vicky McClure.

As well as Olympians Laura Kenny, Tom Daley and Adam Peaty but it has been confirmed that he will be taking part in the next series of Strictly Come Dancing.

It has not yet been confirmed when the 2021 series will begin but usually it starts around November time and graces our screen for three weeks.
