Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan and Carol McGiffin put on defiant display amid ‘feud’ rumoursJanuary 10, 2022
Loose Women stars Coleen Nolan and Carol McGiffin put on a defiant display during a joint appearance on the lunchtime show, following reports that they’d been embroiled in a bitter behind the scenes feud.
Over the weekend, the Daily Mail reported that some of Coleen’s Loose Women colleagues had requested not to be on the panel alongside her. Stars mentioned included her long-time co-star Nadia Sawalha, as well as Stacey Solomon.
It was also suggested that Carol had had an off screen fall out with Coleen. However Coleen, 56, has been quick to dismiss the reports as completely false and said she would be seeking legal action for the personal slurs against her. ITV also denied the claims.
Coleen also said in a statement that she would be "addressing it on Loose Women" but when she appeared on today’s episode of the programme (Monday 10 January) the star remained noticeably tight-lipped.
Neither Coleen nor Carol spoke about their supposed fall-out and appeared to be in good spirits, laughing and joking with one another.
The pair got stuck into discussing topics such as rekindling romance with an ex and what they keep in their fridge.
This comes after Coleen’s co-stars Janet Street Porter, Brenda Edwards and Stacey Solomon broke their silence, throwing their support behind the Nolans star.
Janet, 75, said she "loved" working with Coleen and that there was no truth to the rumours.
Meanwhile, Coleen's close friend Brenda Edwards wrote on Twitter: “@NolanColeen it's always a pleasure to hang with you at work @loosewomen.”
She added: “Also out of work, you have always made me feel so welcome, and I appreciate the straight talking, fun friendship we have!! Keep smiling in the face of adversity my lovely.”
Meanwhile, Stacey, who is due to return from maternity leave in the coming weeks, echoed her colleagues' thoughts.
She replied to Coleen's statement dismissing the rumours on Twitter, writing “What Coleen said” with a series of heart emojis.

ITV has also issued a statement on the allegations, saying: “This story is untrue.”
“Panellists are chosen for each show by the Loose Women Editor and senior production team, not the panellists themselves.”
