Loose Women has seen an array of presenters welcomed to the panel over the years including the likes of Stacey Solomon, Kate Thornton, Andrea McLean and Kay Adams. Today, Monday, August 24, another friendly face joined the ITV chat show and led the conversation for the first time. So who is Michelle Ackerley? Here’s everything we know about the new loose woman.

Loose Women returned today as always during the week but when This Morning introduced the follow-up show, presenter Eammon Holmes was startled.

He said: “New face, debutant Michelle Ackerley! Goodness me! It’s brilliant for me, I’ve known you since you were a little girl, basically at school and look at you, all grown up presenting big people’s programmes!”

Ackerley then said she was “very much looking forward” to hosting the show alongside Coleen Nolan and Denise Welch.

While Ackerley might be a newcomer when it comes to Loose Women, viewers might recognise her for some her of previous work.

Who is Michelle Ackerley?

Ackerley is a 36-year-old television presenter and journalist.

She is probably best known for previously presenting shows such as BBC One’s Watchdog as well as The One Show alongside Matt Baker.

Ackerley has also appeared on This Morning helping to present from The Hub.

Previous to these mainstream shows, back in 2013, Ackerley co-presented CBBC series All Over The Place.

Ackerley hosted Council House Crackdown for two years as well as  I Want My Own Room, Deadly Art, Ar Ninja and Totally Rubbish for CBBC.

She even went on Celebrity Masterchef in 2018 but was sadly the first contestant to be kicked off the cooking competition.

Most recently though, viewers may remember Ackerley for presenting new health show HealthCheck UK Live on BBC One.

She presented the series with Dr Xand Van Tulleken to help give advice and support to people during the coronavirus pandemic.
