Liam Payne knocks £774k off the price of 'haunted' £9m LA mansion after failing to sell home he shared with ex Cheryl

The 25-year-old One Direction star has struggled to shift his former pad, despite it having its own spa, vineyard and even a meditation centre.

Liam bought the lavish five bedroom, eight bathroom mansion back in 2015 and it's where he and Cheryl lived for most of her pregnancy.

But in October 2017, Liam admitted he believed the place was haunted and said Cheryl refused to sleep upstairs.

Speaking to The Sun, he explained that a woman had approached his mum on the street and insisted the ghost of the previous owner haunted the property.

He said Cheryl even refused to sleep upstairs when she was pregnant with their son Bear.

He said: "Cheryl wouldn't stay in the top room, being pregnant with the baby."

He added: "I've seen lights go on and off in the middle of the night and a few little creepy things, like taps turning on and off.

"If you don’t believe in it, I don’t think it can get to you.

"But Cheryl was like, 'I'm not sleeping upstairs'. So we slept downstairs in the cinema room. First World problems."

The home is located in a secluded Californian compound in the hills of Calabasas, which is home to a number of stars including Drake and the Kardashians.

Liam had previously tried to sell the property in the semi-remote Monte Nido area of the rugged mountains between Malibu and Calabasas for £9m million after putting it up for sale in January 2018.

But it had to be taken off-the-market for a time after the wildfires in California last year.

Liam has since moved on from Cheryl with supermodel Naomi Campbell.

The Sun exclusively revealed their secret relationship last month and that the One Direction singer is enjoying "mind-blowing sex" with the leggy star.

However, he has since sent "suggestive" messages to a woman his own age with a source telling The Mirror: "He was very flirty with the woman – and she was flattered. He sent some very suggestive messages."
