HER pop music comeback failed to set the charts on fire but Cheryl Tweedy's best pal Kimberley Walsh has a new career plan in mind for her.

Kimberley, who was in Girls Aloud with the Call My Name singer, insists Cheryl is destined for stardom on London’s West End.

In an exclusive chat, she said: “I really want Cheryl to do a musical. It’s tough going, tougher than pop star life but I think she could do it — absolutely.

"I think she would be an amazing Roxie in Chicago. She’s got the tough but vulnerable attitude.”

Kimberley was joined by Cheryl and another of their former bandmates Nicola Roberts at the opening night of her latest musical venture, Big.

The singer, who stars alongside The Wanted's Jay McGuinness, added: “I loved having Cheryl and Nicola in my dressing room backstage before the show.

“I’ve been doing it for so long I don’t find it distracting. We were just laughing and joking – getting glammed up.

“They loved the show and say they are going to come back another night and just wear their scruffy clothes.”

If anyone can bag Cheryl an audition, it’s Kimberley.
