Katie Price blasted by fans for 'glorifying' her second driving ban after making jokeJanuary 12, 2019
The cash-strapped star, 40, took to Instagram this morning to thank the chauffeur company she hired to drive her to her court appearance earlier this week.
Accompanied by a picture of a £70k Mercedes-Benz S Class, Katie wrote: "Best chauffeur company in London thank you very much for always looking after me Team HR I have lots of work for you now!"
However, it's unlikely the company will work for free – Katie couldn't even afford to immediately pay her £1,285 fine for driving while banned.
In court, Katie was given the minimum ban available and will have to pay a £1,100 fine plus £100 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Katie's followers weren't pleased with Katie's insensitive missive, and called her out in the comments section.
One wrote: "Don’t think you should glorify your driving ban had you have had an accident would be a different thing. And drink driving shame on you."
Another said: "What a joke! Your apparently skint, can’t afford to pay your fine but your riding around in a Chauffeur driven car………. you really a a state woman!!"
A third said: "Yes cause drunk driving and driving without a licence is definetly a joking matter.
"Your lucky you didnt kill someone. No respect whatsover !!!!!!"
A fourth sniped: "Shame you didn’t hire someone to drive you when you thought it was a good idea to get behind a wheel and drink drive they should throw the book at people like you as your not sorry at all!
"People die because of thoughtless people like you in the world !"
Katie's ban came just days after she denied being drunk at the wheel of her £75k pink Range Rover when it crashed in Woolwich, South East London, in October last year.
Price managed to swerve bankruptcy last month after the tax man accepted her plan to repay her £22,000 debt.
Katie has blamed her money woes on her exes as her once lucrative media empire began to fall apart after the downfall of her third marriage and the collapse of her businesses.
