Inspirational TV personality Katie Piper is over the moon with excitement after landing herself one of the biggest jobs on daytime television.

The author and broadcaster turned to social media to share the thrilling news that she is the newest Loose Women signing.

The 37-year-old made the announcement on Instagram to her one million followers on Thursday and was deluged with well wishes.

“'It's official! I’m a @LooseWomen panellist! Thank you to everyone for your overwhelming support and kind messages about my recent appearances!” she wrote.

“I can't wait to become a regular and discuss some wild and wonderful things that the lovely 'loose' ladies delve into! It’s going to be great year, and I can’t wait to take you all along for the ride.” Katie added.

Loose Woman had been looking to replenish the team after losing long-standing panellists Andrea McLean and Saira Khan in quick succession

However, the Loose Women team were clearly buzzing having Katie on board and replied to her post, writing: "We can't wait! Welcome to the family".

Mum-of-two Andrea McLean quit the ITV panel show in November 2020, leaving fans in shock.

It was revealed she had given in her resignation with a bombshell email, telling the Sunday Mirror’s Notebook magazine: "I emailed my bosses. I just said I needed to follow my heart.

"I was sat in the car. I had it all written and ready to go," she said.

And she finally admitted the real reason she left was because she just completed her training to become a qualified life coach.

Saira Khan revealed she gave up her seat on the show after 2020 made her "assess her priorities" and she wanted to focus on "what's really important".

At the time Saira wrote: "So I start this new year by saying goodbye to Loose Women.

"After five years of being a regular panellist, I’ve decided to give up my seat to another woman who will benefit from the platform as I did."
