Kate Garraway’s appearance delights Good Morning Britain viewers ‘Looking amazing!’December 18, 2020
Kate Garraway praised over 'Woman of the Year' award on GMB
Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard concluded the week by presenting Good Morning Britain together before their Christmas break. Despite her personal circumstances, Kate brought the glitz and the glamour to the ITV studio and received many compliments from viewers.
The female GMB presenters always spark conversation online with their outfits.
Kate, Susanna Reid, Charlotte Hawkins and Laura Tobin are all known for telling fans exactly what they’re wearing and where they can get the items from.
On Friday, Kate was bringing a festive feel to the show as she was seen in a sequinned number.
Sitting socially distanced alongside Ben, Kate wore a long sleeve dress in dark purple and blue hues. With a round neck and shoulder pads to accentuate the shape, those watching the show at home loved the outfit choice.

Taking to Twitter to comment, one said: “Hi @kategarraway and @benshephard, could you let me know where Kate got her dress please? It’s lovely! Thanks #gmb.”
“Kate Garraway is looking amazing this morning in purple sparkles, might dig some sequins out for the school run! #GMB,” another remarked.
“@GMB@kategarraway you look amazing this morning Kate,” a third wrote. Someone else mentioned: “@GMB Just saw Kate now, who is wearing a stunning dress.”
“@GMB Kate Garraway you look like a lovely xmas bauble this morning I love that colour on you xx,” another tweet read.
Kate’s husband, Derek Draper, is still in hospital battling coronavirus and on Thursday, she spoke about the challenges her family faces ahead of Christmas.
“I’m finding it really challenging and I know you at home are as well,” she explained.
“I find it really tricky, I know it’s a slightly unique position I’m in, but it’s also not because lots of people have got people who are vulnerable and who are sick, either with Covid or other things.
“Obviously my dream is for the children and I to see Derek on Christmas Day in some way. The practical challenges of that is we have to keep really safe to visit him and isolate.

“Also, there is the question of, if we do that, can we have my mum and dad there? I want to try and avoid it if at all possible, just Darcey, Billy and I on Christmas Day because that would make Derek’s absence feel huge and the rest of the family’s absence feel huge. But it’s a balance to work it all out.”
Talking about her hopes going forward, she told the Daily Mail: “I obviously hope that Derek can recover and come back to us, I mean that’s the big one, isn’t it?”
As for her Christmas plans, she continued: “If you’ve lost someone due to COVID or lost someone for whatever reason, I think Christmas is very tough.
“So I’m lucky that Derek is still with us and we still have hope for next year but it is hard to know how to plan because we have very specific traditions.
“We’d always go to Derek’s parents’ on Christmas Eve and we’d go to church. I don’t think any of that’s possible because we need to stay close to Derek in the hospital,” Kate added.
“So I’ve been talking to the children about forming new traditions and I think we’re going to have a Christmas season, so we’ve already watched Nativity. Key moment.
“We do have a ten-foot high inflatable Santa, obviously, and a ten foot high inflatable penguin.
“You can imagine how delighted the neighbours are when that goes up – I think Ben Shephard’s offered to come and help,” she laughed.
Good Morning Britain airs weekday mornings at 6am on ITV.
