Jodie Comer and Stephen Graham were invited onto Monday’s The One Show to discuss their new drama Help with hosts Alex Scott and Jermaine Jenas. The Killing Eve actress is known for perfecting an array of accents but The One Show viewers were stunned to discover her natural speaking voice.
One wrote: “I feel so dumb. I honestly didn’t know Jodie Comer was from Liverpool. I’m watching #TheOneShow thinking, ‘Why is she putting on a Scouse accent’ @BBCTheOneShow.”
“Just caught Jodie Comer on the one show and I was not expecting her natural accent to be like that #TheOneShow,” another wrote.
A third said: “Jodie Comer is a Scouser? Is there any accent she can’t do? #TheOneShow.”
“Who’s the woman with the American/Irish/Liverpool accent #TheOneShow,” someone else asked.

“Oh no, Jodie Comer has developed that annoying ‘I don’t know where I’m from’ accent. A cross between Liverpool, LA and f**k knows where. #TheOneShow #OneShow,” a fifth remarked.
A sixth asked: “’Jodie, heard you do many different accents, I didn’t expect you to have a Scouse accent in real life.’ Jermaine Jenas is the only person in the world not to know Jodie Comer is from Liverpool #TheOneShow.”
