ITV This Morning: Holly Willoughby in hysterics as Phillip Schofield FALLS off stage

May 20, 2019

This Morning presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield spent a long weekend in Birmingham for a live event.

The presenting pair took the ITV stalwart to the Midlands for a festival all about it and saw them giving talks to packed audiences.

Although the event ran smoothly and was a great success for all, it seemed there was one little slip-up, quite literally.

During a panel chat where Holly and Phillip answered fan questions, the pair took a little tumble off stage when they left.

They discussed the moment today and asked viewers to send in any funny clips they had.

Thankfully, fans didn’t disappoint and they provided their videos of the moment.

In it, Holly and Phillip can be seen thanking the crowd for their support and waved goodbye to them.

However, they weren’t looking where they were going and when they backed off stage, it seemed they didn’t see the step there behind them.

When Holly discovered what her friend had done, she collapsed in hysterics while Phillip joined in on the joke once he had checked out what caught him.

Meanwhile, viewers were thrilled to see the pair back on screens and flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts in their little trip.

One wrote: “Phil and Holly both trip over together at This Morning Live! Fab to meet you both, had an AMAZING DAY!”

A second joked: “That wasn’t much of a trip, Phillip, lol.”

A third commented with love heart emojis: “Holly’s outfit today is [lovely].”

Last week, viewers weren’t happy about the technical difficulties caused by This Morning Live last week.

While Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes were presenting in the London studio, they kept cutting towards their co-hosts.

But many thought the sound was off while the camera work left them feeling dizzy.

One raged: “FFS #ThisMorning sort your microphones out.”

A second added: “The mics are c**p. Whoever pairs to go and see this must be mad.”

A third commented: “The camera man is making me dizzy and I keep thinking I’m going deaf with the mics.”

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10.30am.
