Is Ben leaving EastEnders and does he die?February 20, 2020
As if you thought the tension in EastEnders couldn’t get any higher this week as it marks its 35th anniversary, Thursday night is set to ratchet things up a notch.
Having left a heap of characters in peril in the wake of the boat party catastrophe, Thursday’s instalment will play the night from the point of view of Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) as they confront Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters).
We know one character won’t be making it out of the week alive, and with a gunshot heard on board the boat any one of them could be in the firing line.
Could it be Ben? Here’s what we know…
Is Ben leaving EastEnders and does he die?
As it stands there’s been no suggestion that Ben is leaving EastEnders.
That said, the identity of the character who’s set to lose their life on the party boat of death has been kept a closely guarded secret – and given the tense situation Ben certainly can’t be ruled out as the victim.
In recent days we’ve seen Ben racing round the Square, trying to find a way to get Callum Highway (Tony Clay) back to safety after he was taken hostage by Keanu.
While Phil takes Karen (Lorraine Stanley) hostage and demands to know where Keanu is, Ben confronts Sharon (Letitia Dean) at gunpoint and contacts Keanu, threatening that he will never see her or their unborn baby again if he doesn’t return Callum to him.
Keanu begins to realise he might be out of his depth, and as Phil manages to locate Keanu and follows him to the party boat, the pair finally come face to face for that long-awaited showdown,
As Ben begins to realise they need Keanu alive in order to save Callum, a struggle ensues – and a gunshot rings out.
Will Ben be the victim? You’ll just have to keep watching….
EastEnders continues on BBC One on Thursday night at 7.30pm.
