Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford out of action for at least 3 months, postponing filmJune 29, 2021
HE’S taken on the Nazis, overcome the evil Thuggee cult and found the Holy Grail.
But when it comes to nasty shoulder injuries, Harrison Ford has had to finally admit defeat.
I can exclusively reveal that filming on the fifth Indiana Jones instalment has been put on hold for at least three months while the acting veteran recovers.
It means the movie has been thrown into chaos once again after filming was previously pushed back because of the pandemic.
An insider said: “It is Harrison’s last outing as Indiana and everyone thought it would be plain sailing.
“After the initial delays everyone was raring to go. But now Harrison is injured and it is worse than first thought.
“The film’s bosses have come together to work out the scheduling and it’s chaos. The earliest they think they can restart the production is September.
“It was not what anyone was expecting so to have to change everything is a huge blow. Everyone was concerned for Harrison and they are glad he is on the mend.”
The actor was injured last week while filming a stunt.
At the time Disney released a statement confirming the news and saying that filming would continue.
It was then revealed Harrison would need surgery, bringing production to a standstill.
Now the film crew have got at least 12 weeks of thumb-twiddling, they had better get used to it.
Like most acting veterans, Harrison still insists on doing all his own stunts — even though he’s only two years shy of being 80 years old.
Steven Spielberg famously admitted he was an “idiot” for letting Harrison take on risky scenes such as the boulder run in Raiders Of The Lost Ark.
He said: “A double would have cheated his head down, so Harrison volunteered to do it himself.
“There were five shots of the rock from five different angles — each one done twice — so Harrison had to race the rock ten times.
“He won ten times — and beat the odds. He was lucky — and I was an idiot for letting him try it.”
In my eyes the risk definitely paid off. And I’ve no doubt Harrison will still be doing all his own stunts come the autumn.
Red hot Ash
They say red is the colour of love – and whoever penned that old adage couldn’t be more right, because I have fallen head over heels for Ashley Roberts all over again.
The Pussycat Dolls singer dressed all in scarlet as she presented her radio show on Heart FM yesterday.
But while the dress looks perfect for a day in the office, Ashley admitted it was really made as nightwear.
She posted the snap on Instagram with the caption: “Satin jim jams out the house . . . ”
Rih-Rih paints town green
She took time out during lockdown but now Rihanna is firmly back in the lime-light.
The Bajan singer hit the town again on Monday night and headed to meet pals at the Bowery Hotel in New York.
Rih-Rih stood out from the crowd in this bright green shirt, which she wore with black mini skirt, heels and a Tom Ford vintage monogram shoulder bag (I’m told).
Rihanna, who has spent the past few days partying in the Big Apple, was joined by boyfriend ASAP Rocky on Sunday, who was seen picking her up and twirling her around.
But Rihanna’s wild nights out haven’t all been plain sailing – she was refused entry to a club because she didn’t have her ID.
She might be one of the world’s most famous women but it seems she still has to prove hold old she is, just like the rest of us mere mortals.
Pedigree Roxy is best in show
What better accessory to show off with a houndstooth two-piece than a . . . hound.
Roxy Horner made the fashion statement in the black-and-white matching shorts and jacket as she stepped out in London with her cute, fluffy pooch in her arms.
The pink Gucci bag looks pretty good, too.
I revealed recently how her funnyman boyfriend Jack Whitehall splashed out on a £12million West London home, complete with pool, sauna and gym to share with Roxy.
Oh, and the five-bedroom former pub also has a cinema room, sweeping marble staircase, lift and guest “powder room”, plus a master bedroom occupying a whole floor
I’ll be over for a dip in the pool just as soon as the next heatwave comes around, thanks guys.
Anyone who’s anyone gets trolled on social media.
But rapper Aitch reckons the bullies often change their tune when he traces them and gets in touch.
He told the Who We Be Talks podcast: “People want you to acknowledge them. I get messages like, ‘Yo, come to this place. I’ll f*ck you up’.
“I’ll reply, ‘What you talking about?’ And they go, ‘Yo, I’m such a big fan of your music’.
“And it’s like, ‘Bro, do you know what you just said to me? Like, what are you talking about?’”
But he added: “Sometimes people are right, in a sense. Some might say, ‘That verse was dead’ and sometimes you think, ‘You’re right’.”
Canny Nicki’s grape idea
Nicki Minaj is making like Kylie Minogue – and bringing out her own wine range.
The Super Bass singer has launched a range of low-calorie canned vinos as part of her MYX Fusions drinks range.
Nicki has released two new wines, a light chardonnay featuring “notes of apple and lemon” and a light rosé with “hints of strawberry, raspberry and citrus”.
Each of Nicki’s wines has just 125 calories, which isn’t too bad for a large glass of plonk.
She first branched out into drinks in 2013, announcing the brand name during her collaboration with CIARA, called I’m Out.
She is a co-owner of the company and has made millions from its success, with the other owner calling Nicki a “game changer”.
And she is certainly on the money bringing out a low-calorie booze, with stars including Ellie Goulding and Simon Cowell also cutting deals with similar slimmer-friendly drink brands.
I’ll take a case off your hands, Nicki.
Miley show’s frock ’n’ roll
Miley Cyrus reveals a fluffier side in her new show.
The Party In The USA singer released Miley Cyrus Presents Stand By You on streaming service Peacock this week – and it’s a fashion treat.
She is seen performing in fabulous outfits including a bright pink Jenny Packham dress covered in feathers.
She also rocks a Gucci rainbow skirt – and when she covers Cher, Miley channels her style with a beaded bra-top and skirt.
The show, a celebration of Pride Month, is available to stream now. Miley sings some of her biggest hits, as well as covering ABBA and Madonna.
