The ITV host and his best pal and co-star Ant McPartlin finally did a trial on Sunday night's I'm A Celeb spin-off A Jungle Story after 20 series.
As well as a gross gunge challenge, producers also provided them with some disgusting delicacies to chow down on.
And Dec, 43, couldn't stomach his cockroach smoothie, throwing it back up into the glass as he downed it.
The Geordie lad managed to get almost to the bottom of the glass before he gagged and the liquid came back up.
Ant joked the grim clip would be re-played for years, while Dec sat with blended bugs around his lips.
Dec declared defeat in the trial, saying he could't go on especially now the glass was full of his own vomit.
It wasn't just the cockroach smoothie that they got to taste, as ITV bosses served them up fish eyes and a pig's penis too.
The former Byker Grove stars joked they were sacking Dec's wife Ali as their manager after she gave a green light to the tough tasks.
But fans at home were thanking her, taking to Twitter to share how much they enjoyed seeing Ant and Dec finally take part in the show's iconic tasks.
One said: "This is hilarious but watching Dec nearly vomit back up that drink… no thanks."
