I’M A Celeb  bosses want to cast the show’s first drag queen this year.

Canny producers have seen BBC3 series RuPaul’s Drag Race UK take off and want a piece of the action.

Several of its stars have been suggested, including Cheryl Hole — real name Luke Underwood, 27 — who has been on Towie.

Bimini Bon-Boulash — Thomas Hibbitts, 28 — is also being considered. He appeared on the London Fashion Week catwalk with Lottie Moss.

It comes after Baga Chipz — Leo Loren, 31 – starred on Celebrity Masterchef last year.

ITV2 is also now showing a Karaoke Club: Drag Edition.

An ITV insider said: “Casting directors want the most diverse I’m A Celeb line-up possible.

“They’re keen to sign drag queens. They have big fanbases who would follow them to I’m a Celeb. A few names have been floated already.

“Of course, they won’t be able to put on full make-up and will have to wear a uniform like the other campmates, but the addition will spice up the show. Lots of drag queens would love to do it.”

I’m A Celeb — hosted by Ant and Dec — will take place in Gwrych Castle near Abergele, Conwy, in November for a second year running.

Covid travel restrictions made a return to the Australian jungle too difficult.

Despite the location change last year, a record 14.3million people watched the first episode.
