Hollyoaks first look as Maxine catches Eric out in surprise tattoo twist

Eric Foster (Angus Castle-Doughty) is very much on borrowed time in Hollyoaks after Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson) makes a shocking discovery next week.

Maxine, as viewers know, is determined to make the eponymous village a safer place for women in the wake of being attacked on the walk home after a night out.

Some of her fellow villagers are on hand to help, including Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard), who leads the first vigilante meeting to address women’s safety, but things take quite a turn when the suggestions offered during said meeting end up holding women accountable.

Upset with the outcome of the meeting, Maxine makes it her mission to catch the village spiker herself, much to the horror of Zoe Anderson (Garcia Brown) and Verity (Eva O’Hara).

But despite her friends’ concerns, Maxine is determined to follow through – but things take an interesting turn when all the evidence points to one person in particular.

Spoiler alert: It’s not Eric!

Eric, you see, has manipulated the situation to his advantage once more, and thus all fingers are pointed at someone else.

Maxine, however, knows that there is more to this than meets the eye, and therefore continues to investigate.

Her mission proves successful, as she spots the tattoo of the man in the spiking poster and matches it with the one on Eric’s arm – proving that he is the village spiker!

Will this new evidence result in Eric finally paying for his crimes?

Or will he manage to worm his way out of this one too?

Hollyoaks airs these scenes Monday November 21 at 7pm on E4.
