Gray confesses to Tina’s murder in EastEnders and reveals gruesome detailsMarch 16, 2022
Tonight’s EastEnders saw the Carter family finally learn the horrifying truth about how their beloved Tina (Luisa Bradshaw-White) died, as evil Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) confessed to police off-screen.
Last week, Gray was finally caught for his crimes after a two year reign of terror which saw him killed first wife Chantelle (Jessica Plummer), before murdering Tina and Kush Kazemi (Davoood Ghadami).
He also tried to kill wife Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams), and had a final showdown with Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty).
Wednesday’s (March 16) development came after Zack Hudson (James Farrar) pleaded with copper Callum Highway (Tony Clay) to get inside information, in effort to help the clan in some way.
Callum eventually relented and Zack was later seen telling Shirley (Linda Henry) and Mick (Danny Dyer) that Gray had confessed to the police. As viewers already know, Gray strangled Tina to death back in December 2020 after she confronted him for killing Chantelle.
Zack relayed the sickening details, including the fact that Gray wrapped Tina’s body in a shower curtain and put her in the boot of his car.
This was the moment that Mick realised he had actually spoken to evil Gray on the same night – meaning that Tina had been in the boot at the time.
While Shirley took some comfort in the fact that Tina’s suffering was quick, Mick couldn’t get past the knowledge that he had been so close by, just minutes after the killing took place.
As Mick let the tears flow, Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) found him and offered some comfort. Opening up to her, Mick confided his torment over Tina’s ordeal, and shared memories of happier times with her.
Now that Gray has been honest about what he has done, can the Carters begin to pick up the pieces of their shattered world?
EastEnders continues Thursday March 17 at 7:30pm on BBC One.
