Gray branded the 'darkest of souls' by Laura in EastEnders as she warns Whitney

December 16, 2021

Gray Atkins’ (Toby-Alexader Smith) former boss Laura Awoyinka (Sarah Paul) had some words of warning for both Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) and Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) in EastEnders.

Laura returned to the Square on a mission in Thursday’s (December 16) offering of the BBC One soap.

Gray had been badmouthing her to all of her clients, and – desperate to stop him from doing so – she popped by No. 1 to confront him on the matter.

The killer took great pleasure in admitting that he responsible, reminding Laura that she badmouthed him first.

Laura, however, refused to be bullied by Gray, branding him a ‘misogynist’, and telling him to back off or she’ll take legal action against him.

Whitney, meanwhile, was fed up after Gray wormed his way back in with Chelsea, and when she set her sights on Laura, she became determined to find out the real reason why he was sacked.

‘He’s threatened by women’, revealed Laura. ‘He needs to destroy them. He uncovers weaknesses and he exploits them.

‘He’s got the darkest soul of any man I’ve met, and I’ve defended 16 murderers!’.

Whitney was chilled to the core, as Laura explained why she must stay away from Gray, and what’s more, she must get Chelsea away from him too.

She makes it her mission to do so in upcoming scenes, but will she succeed?

EastEnders continues Monday December 20 at 8:05pm on BBC One.
