Good Morning Britain in presenter shake up as Richard Madeley is replaced

March 21, 2022

Good Morning Britain changed their presenters today as Richard Madeley was replaced.

On Monday 21 March, the ITV morning show host was replaced by financial expert, Martin Lewis.

Susanna Reid has been hosting the show on Mondays to Wednesday since before Christmas and she took to Twitter to announce the presenter shake-up.

On Sunday evening, the 51 year old presenter tweeted: "Tomorrow, I am very pleased to say that @MartinSLewis will be hosting @GMB with me."

Fans of the show were delighted that the Money Saving Expert founder was returning to the show. One penned: "Absolutely excellent, I’m looking forward to watch you both, tomorrow morning lovely Susanna."

As another added: "Lovely! Will be up bright & early to watch. Wish he could be on more often" as a third remarked: "Wonderful, he is the best co presenter since PM."

It’s not the first time Martin, 49, has stepped in as a presenter on the show, as Susanna has been joined by a host of famous faces since Piers Morgan left.

Piers, 56, famously stormed off set while he was live on air after a row with weatherman Alex Beresford over Meghan Markle.

Since his departure, Susanna has been joined by Alastair Campbell, Ed Balls, Adil Ray and Rob Rinder as co-host on the show.

In 2021, it was announced that the former I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here contestant, Richard would permanently replace Piers on the show as one of the guest presenters.
