Emmerdale: Noah and Samson clash over Esther

Emmerdale’s newest mum Amelia Spencer (played by Daisy Campbell) recently split with her boyfriend Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) after she found out he had been paying Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) to stay away from Amelia and Esther Spencer (Florence Mae Dyson). However, during Monday’s episode she and Noah reunited but fans aren’t convinced she feels the same way as Noah does.

In recent scenes, after saying goodbye to Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick), Noah asked: “Have you told her about…” to which Amelia quickly replied: “I couldn’t face it, not after the way Samson has been.”

Noah expressed she should have let him stay over to help with Esther, but she broke down crying and expressed: “I won’t know for a whole week will I?”

Later in The Hop, she said: “I keep thinking of Esther, I mean what is she going to do? She is going to be all alone, her dad won’t be much use.

“Maybe you were right if I hadn’t gone to that appointment… If the worst happens he is all Esther has got.”

Looking downcast she didn’t think of him, Noah reminded: “She’s always got me to look out for her and you if that is what you wanted.

“Look. I shouldn’t have done all that stuff with the money and you know how sorry I am. I shouldn’t have tried to buy into keeping us together.

“Even if that is what I wanted, actually I still do,” but Amelia shut him down and explained: “I’m sorry Noah.

“I shouldn’t have lost it with you, but I don’t know if I can start thinking about… I have a lot to do, sorry I am going to be late for college.”

Later in the cafe, Amelia went to pick up Esther from Noah and he explained: “About what I said earlier, I know it’s the wrong time to bring it up.

“Especially with all this health stuff and I am sorry about all the stuff with the money but, you both just mean so much to me and…”

But before he could continue, Amelia interrupted: “Yes,” and leant over the table to kiss him.

She continued: “Look, you mean the same to me. I know you didn’t want to hurt me with this whole money thing.

“And I have really missed us, Noah.”

Viewers of the series were not convinced Amelia wanted to get back with Noah because she had missed him and felt she had another plan up her sleeve.

Taking to their Twitter, user @griannedoherty3 expressed: “Noah deserves so much better than Amelia. Binned him off after the whole thing with Samson yet now the second she’s going through something potentially life-changing she’s all over him.

“Samson had a point, burying her head in the sand, not getting tested immediately #Emmerdale.”

@Jamie27A_ noted: “Yeah the fact that Amelia gets with Noah after all that is very weird writing, essentially it was a week or two wasted on that storyline. #Emmerdale.”

@Chris1968E commented: “#Emmerdale Noah can’t u see Amelia is using you & if Samson clicked his fingers she’d dump you.”

@mikepriestley13 added: “I’m wondering if Amelia took Noah back for the wrong reasons. She doesn’t want to be alone? #Emmerdale.”

Cally Neves theorised: “I feel like Amelia made a rash decision getting back with Noah. Because she doesn’t want Esther going to Samson?”

@AmNam9 said: “As awful as it sounds I feel like Amelia is using Noah. She has a game plan and I can’t work out what, it will be Noah getting heartbroken again tho.” (sic)
