EastEnders spoilers: Linda and Mick Carter torn apart by Billy Mitchell affair?

November 15, 2019

Linda (played by Kellie Bright) and Mick Carter’s (Danny Dyer) young son Ollie was diagnosed with Autism on EastEnders tonight. After Ollie’s assessment, BBC viewers caught a glimpse at the very different ways the married couple handled the news – Linda stormed off unable to cope. However after hearing some kind words of advice from Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick), the landlady may seek comfort in the arms of someone other than her husband.

Billy and Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) share their daughter, Janet Mitchell (Grace) who was diagnosed with Downs Syndrome shortly after her birth.

When Billy bumped into Linda after Ollie’s assessment, he offered her some words of advice after realising she hadn’t taken the news well.

“Honey wanted to send her back, first thing she said when she told us about Janet,” Billy said. “Happens a lot apparently

“Loads of parents say the same thing according to the nurses, some of them won’t even have it that it’s there kid.”

As the pair shared a bottle of wine, Billy reassured Linda she will accept Ollie’s diagnosis over time.

However Billy admitted: “Me and Honey see it all the time, parents who have kids like Janet, they’re still looking at their kids like they were babies.”

He then added: “[Ultimately] you love them, it doesn’t matter what they’re like.”

Instead of talking things through with Mick, Linda found comfort in Billy’s word of advice and a bottle of wine.

Could Linda and Billy embark on an affair as the landlady struggles with her son’s diagnosis and Billy continues to be snubbed by ex-wife Honey?

Earlier in tonight’s instalment, cracks began to show in Mick and Linda’s marriage.

In denial, Linda remarked: “We know what the doctors said, don’t mean she’s right.”

Linda slammed Mick for accepting the diagnosis before he hit back: “It’s not about me admitting it we both knew Ollie was different.”

“You asked her question after question you even made a list,” Linda quipped.

“Because there were things I wanted to know,” Mick explained.

“Why did we have those tests done anyway you’d already made up your mind about him,” Linda said. “You’d already given him a label.”

“It’s not about giving him a label, it’s about having a happy, healthy little boy,” Mick explained.

“You heard what the doctors said there are a lot of positives how good Ollie is with things that really grab him, how he blitzed those tests.”

“What about when we’re gone,” Linda continued. “It’s alright him doing things different at this age because we’re here to help but what happens when we’re not.”

Will Mick and Linda be torn apart as they struggle to see eye-to-eye on their son’s diagnosis?

Elsewhere, Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite) was hit by a lorry and killed after believing she could see her dead son following a road accident.

EastEnders returns Friday on BBC One at 8pm.
