Eastenders Lola Pearce set for huge clash with Ruby Allen when she returns to the Square, reveals Danielle Harold

EASTENDERS star Lola Pearce is set for a huge clash with Ruby Allen when she returns to Albert Square.

Danielle Harold has reprised her role as Lola after four years away and is coming back with a fresh-faced Ben Mitchell and their young daughter Lexi.

But it won't be long before she is ruffling feathers, as actress Danielle tells The Sun Online.

Hinting about how messy it will get, she said: "I don't know, I'm really not sure yet but I am really interested to see where that little three goes."

Ruby and Danielle have history as they're both romantically linked to Jay Brown.

Jay, sometimes also called Jay Mitchell – played by Jamie Borthwick – was engaged to Abi Branning but split when Jay realised he had developed feelings for Lola Pearce.

But last December it was revealed Jay and Ruby could be dating too, which would be awkward for Lola when she returns.

Ruby has had a rough time of late as her harrowing rape trial unfolds.

Ruby's rape trial kicks off in EastEnders next week as she confesses to Stacey Fowler that she now regrets spiking rapist Ross Swinden’s drink.

EastEnders fans were stunned when Ruby – played by Louisa Lytton in the BBC soap – lured him to her flat and handed him a spiked drink and she’s now scared he’s going to use her actions against her in court.

Stacey – Lacey Turner – tries her best to reassure her before she heads to court. When Ruby arrives, she’s pleased to see Jay Brown has arrived to support her.

Encouraged by Jay’s words, Ruby makes a big decision about the trial.
