Did Dax Shepard Ever Cheat on Kristen Bell?

While many couples who are thrust into the spotlight fail, actor and director Dax Shepard and actress Kristen Bell have managed to keep their marriage strong since 2013. Not only that, but drama never seems to follow these two, either. It seems many other duos in film could take a note from their book.
Unfortunately, recent cheating rumors have plagued Shepard and Bell — but do they hold any truth? Here’s what’s been reported.

Shepard and Bell first met in 2007 — and while Bustle reminds us the two didn’t hit it off immediately, their silly personalities, modest backgrounds, and family values have kept them going strong ever since. Unfortunately for Shepard, the step-granddaughter of actress Julie Andrews, Kayti Edwards, told Daily Mail that Shepard cheated on Bell with her years ago.
According to Edwards, she and Shepard first met in 2005 thanks to mutual friends, and she was attracted to his charming personality. “It was just a brief thing, we would hook up here and there, but we had a little friendship when we saw each other,” she said. Eventually, their relationship fizzled out — but, according to Edwards, they were both at a Hollywood party in 2009 when they rekindled their romance. She even has graphic photos of them kissing in a photo booth at the party, which she’s using as support for her claims.
“There was a photo booth and I remember people were standing in line for this photo booth,” Edwards said. “And Dax grabbed me and was like ‘let’s pick up where we left off’ and he threw me into this photo booth with him.” She then said she had a feeling he had a girlfriend at the time (Bell), because he didn’t want to take the photos home.

If Edwards’ story is true, that means Shepard would have been two years into his relationship with Bell at that point. “I don’t know if that was part of the rocky start. I don’t know if she even knows that he had done that,” she told Daily Mail. “I just wanted to set the story straight before someone else said something that wasn’t true.”
Shepard has taken to social media to share his side of the story, however. He took a screenshot of the Daily Mail article and posted it in on his Instagram. “Hey Daily Mail, that photo is 13 years old, not 9,” he captioned the post, completely denying involvement with Edwards while he was with Bell. He then added, “Also, Kayti has sold stories to tabloids about Matthew Perry, Jack Osbourne, Kid Rock, and now me. I look forward to her next one. Fingers crossed it’s about my #1, Brad Pitt :).”

Even if the rumors turned out to be false, planting the seed of doubt in any relationship can be enough to ruin it — but such is apparently not the case for Shepard and Bell. A source told Us Weekly that the duo are “solid.” They went on to say, “Dax denied the allegations publicly because he wanted the world to know that Kristen is his one and only. … There is absolutely no strain — their marriage is strong.”
There’s no sign of strife on their social media channels, either. And fans are loving this funny and sweet post Shepard put up on Instagram of Kristen in a very large, puffy coat. The blurry photo was captioned, “That bipedal sleeping bag over my left shoulder is the reason to wake up every morning.”
