Death fears for terrified Ryan in Coronation Street

February 8, 2023

Viewers were able to see the extent to which Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) had been affected by this week’s Bistro shooting in tonight’s Coronation Street, as he broke down to a concerned Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson).

Ryan was caught up in the terrifying gun siege that came as a result of Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) smuggling drugs through the Bistro, and it was clear that the event left him shaken.

This evening, Leanne walked into the Bistro office to find Ryan crying alone, still clearly horrified by what had happened to him.

Confiding in Leanne, he confessed that in the moment the gun was pulled on him, he believed that that was the end.

However, he didn’t see his life flash before his eyes, as many claim, as he believes he doesn’t have one to see.

He went on to explain how he had so many plans for his life and things he wanted to do that he hasn’t done. Instead, he has been working only ten minutes from where he was born.

Terrified, he admitted that he didn’t want to die in Weatherfield, having not achieved anything, but he believed that that was all he could expect to do.

While Leanne assured him that he is valued at the Bistro, Ryan reminded her of how he teamed up with Debbie to rob the place not so long ago.

Leanne brushed it off, saying that he was forgiven because people like him, and he lights the place up.

With Ryan facing an existential crisis, is this the jolt he needs to put some of his previous plans into actions? Or is he really destined to die on Coronation Street?
