Coronation Street’s Kate and Rana will reunite on New Year’s Eve after shock cheating scandal

December 19, 2018

Last night fans of the hit ITV soap were horrified when they watched Kate seducing Adam Barlow as her desperation to have a baby ramped up a notch.

As viewers know, Rana, actress Bhavna Limbachia, will discover the betrayal and dumps Kate, Faye Brookes, leaving her heartbroken over Christmas.

But there is a happy ending in sight for the couple, with Corrie boss Iain McLeod telling The Sun Online Kate and Rana will get back together on NYE.

He said: “It’s not a lengthy break and on New Year’s Eve they will get back together.

“Rana understands Kate isn't straight. I think that was obvious to see [last night] as at no point did she look like she wanted to do that.

“It was hard to watch. It felt tragic. Rana knew it was the actions of a desperate, grieving woman.”

The fallout of their break up will play out over Christmas and it’s Rana who decides she needs Kate back after seeing her ex Imogen trying to make a move on her.

Iain added: “Someone starts sniffing around Kate romantically and there’s nothing that makes you realise how much you want something than someone trying to court them.

“I love that couple. For me they’re really inspirational and real”.

The Sun exclusively revealed Kate and Adam’s affair, with a source telling us: “Adam can't believe his luck when Kate approaches him.

“Adam's thrilled but he soon realises what's going on and gives Kate time to come to her senses.

“She's playing with fire and she realises what she could lose if she goes through with her plan.

“She’s out of her mind with grief for Aidan and thinks she’s lost Rana. She comes to her senses before going through with it – she’s gay and loves Rana, and can’t believe she nearly let her grief-fuelled obsession for a baby almost lead her into betraying who she is and making the biggest mistake of her life.”

Coronation Street continues on Wednesday at 7:30pm on ITV.
