Coronation Street spoilers: Sally Metcalfe’s fate confirmed after horror factory collapseMarch 24, 2019
Whether Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) made it out alive of the Coronation Street collapse was left unclear.
However, even though the ITV soap is not airing as usual tonight, viewers have an answer to the question of Sally’s future.
The programme has posted a teaser clip for Sunday’s show on its Twitter page introduced by Imran Habeeb actor Charlie De Melo.
In the clip, Charlie says: ”Just a quicker reminder that there is no Coronation Street tonight.
“However, because we love you very much, here is a quick preview of the opening episode of Sunday’s hour long episode.”
Viewers can see how different characters are coping in the wake of the disaster.
One resident viewers may have been concerned about is Sally because she was last seen being taken off in a stretcher.
Sally fell from quite a height as she was on top of the roof when it caved in.
But fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the clip shows Sally waking up in hospital so she’s still alive and kicking.
Although considering the accident, it may take a while for her to recover completely.
In the clip, Sally opens her eyes, much to the delight of her daughter Sophie (Brooke Vincent) and husband Tim (Joe Duttine).
However, elsewhere the scenes are far less happy.
Sarah Platt (Tine O’Brien) and Gary Windass (Mikey North) look on at a memorial set up for Rana at the site.
Imran, who has just lost his sister looks emotionally exhausted as he picks up an invitation for the wedding that never got to take place.
Meanwhile, a guilt-ridden Carla Connor (Alison King) lies on Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne), clearly thinking about all that has unfolded.
But the most tragic clip shows Kate Connor (Faye Brookes) bawling as she looks at her wedding ring.
The couple were set to get married that day before the horrific event.
Rana breathed her last next to Kate as the pair exchanged vows while Rana was trapped under a collapsed part of the building.
Will Kate be able to pull through this horrendous time?
Coronation Street continues Sunday at 8pm on ITV.
