AceShowbiz -Peloton is utilizing Mr. Big shocker on “And Just Like That…” in a perfect way. On Sunday, December 12, the bike company released a new ad featuring actor Chris Noth, just three days after his character SPOILER ALERT! died on the bike in the first episode of the “Sex and the City” reboot series.

In the commercial, Chris is seen sitting on a couch in front of a Christmas tree and decorared fireplace with a pair of Peloton bikes featured in the room as well. He is celebrating “new beginnings” with real-life Peloton instructor Jess King, who plays as Mr. Big’s virtual coach on the series.

“You look great,” Jess tells Mr. Big. He then responds, “Oh, I feel great. Shall we take another ride? Life’s too short not to.” Meanwhile, Ryan Reynolds narrates the new ad as his creative marketing company Maximum Effort developed the ad.

“And just like that… the world was reminded that regular cycling stimulates and improves your heart, lungs, and circulation, reducing your risk of cardiovascular diseases,” the “Deadpool” actor says in the voiceover. “Cycling strengthens your heart muscles, lowers resting pulse, and reduces blood fat levels. He’s alive.”

Prior to this, Peloton issued a statement regarding Mr. Big’s death from heart attack on its bike that affected its stock. Dr. Suzanne Steinbaum, a member of Peloton’s health and wellness advisory council and a preventative cardiologist, told Los Angeles Times that she’s “sure SATC fans, like me, are saddened by the news that Mr. Big dies of a heart attack.”

“Mr. Big lived what many would call an extravagant lifestyle – including cocktails, cigars, and big steaks – and was at serious risk as he had a previous cardiac event in Season 6,” the statement continued. Additionally, Big had a “routine” heart procedure in the 11th episode.

The doctor explained, “More than 80 percent of all cardiac-related deaths are preventable through lifestyle, diet and exercise modifications. And while 25 percent of heart attacks each year are in patients who already had one (like Mr. Big), even then they are very, very treatable. The lesson here is, KNOW YOUR NUMBERS! It’s always important to talk to your doctor, get tested, and have a healthy prevention strategy. The good news is Peloton helps you track heart rate while you ride, so you can do it safely.”
