Jennifer Ellison would 'love' for Brookside to come back
Jennifer Ellison teased Brookeside fans with a return for the soap as she applauded the idea of a reboot.
The 40-year-old played Emily Shadwick from 1998 to 2003, when the character fell to death from a window whilst trying to escape a robbery.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain, Jennifer stated she would “love” to see the soap making a comeback.
Host Kate Garraway commented: “Brookeside was my soap. My mum and dad didn’t really watch soaps, but the Saturday omnibus edition – I was all over that.
“And so many people still are, aren’t they? And want it to come back!”

The series created household names as it followed families living in the iconic cul-de-sac.
Brookside Close, in Liverpool, included 13 houses which were home to families such as the Corkhills, Dixons and Grants.
It was created by Grange Hill and Hollyoaks creator Phil Redmond and launched the careers of stars like Claire Sweeney and Anna Friel.
Jennifer joined Good Morning Britain to discuss her acting comeback in the upcoming Take That musical, Greatest Days.
She has been cast in the leading role of Rachel in the new musical, which she described as “emotional” with an “unexpected” story.
She went on to detail how the new show is attracting both old and new audiences as it delves into the story of one of the most famous British bands of all time.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
