Bridgerton boss breaks silence on second series of Queen Charlotte spin-off | The Sun
May 8, 2023THE Bridgerton spin-off series about a young Queen Charlotte has taken Netflix by storm, with fans calling for another series.
Bridgerton writer Shonda Rhimes has now hinted that there could be a possibility of more episodes focusing on Queen Charlotte and her husband King George III.
The Bridgerton story appeared on Netflix on Thursday May 4 and has wowed fans, with the title trending on Twitter throughout the Coronation weekend.
It has been described as a limited series, consisting of just six episodes, but Shonda Rhimes has admitted she isn't ruling out a second series.
She told Entertainment weekly: "There have been questions, but I'm not having conversations about it yet."
Shonda went on to say: "I could live with Charlotte and George forever, but we told a very specific story that I think is a complete tale of this complicated, imperfect love.

Fans of the show aren't the only one's eager for a second series, with Queen Charlotte actress India Amarteifio revealing that she "would absolutely love to do something in the realm again".
Arsema Thomas, who plays young Lady Agatha Danbury, has also shared her love for the show, stating: "I never thought I could love like this until I had my own child.
"I feel like I gave birth, and Shonda Rhimes is her daddy. I am the mommy. It would be amazing to inhabit that space again."

Meanwhile, on social media, viewers are calling for the story to continue, with one fan writing: "I guess we will have to wait for the numbers to see how well the mini series was received to know whether we will get a second season, but I would like to see more."
A second gushed: "Queen Charlotte the Bridgerton story is sooooo good."
Another exclaimed about the cast: "NEED THEM BACK!!!"
And a fourth agreed, stating: "WE DESERVED MORE."
"How can I get a second season of the limited series Queen Charlotte, right this very second?" demanded a fifth.
