Big Brother stars have taken to Instagram to share heartfelt birthday tributes for the late Nikki Grahame.

In 2020 Nikki sadly passed away aged just 38 after battling with anorexia and the star would've celebrated her 40th birthday this week.

She was a contestant on the seventh series of Big Brother UK in 2006, in which she finished in fifth place and later starred in her own reality series Princess Nikki.

At the time of her death, a representative shared: "It is with immeasurable sadness that Nikki Grahame passed away in the early hours of Friday, April 9 2021."

On Thursday (April 28) many of Nikki's fellow Big Brothers contestants wrote lovely messages in honour of her birthday.

Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace wrote: "Happy 40th birthday darling… we have all lost you, we all loved you, I will forever help your memory live on, I love you Nikki RIP.

"My life flashed infront of my eyes yesterday, it made me hold my loved ones closer…. tell your people you love them, life is so short."

Pete Bennet, who previously dated Nikki, wrote: "Happy 40th birthday in heaven #nikkigrahame x".

Big Brother's Imogen Thomas added: "Happy heavenly birthday to my NIK. Today is your 40th!!! Such a Special day for a special lady. We had big plans I hope you are carrying them out up there! You are loved, missed and remembered."

Glyn Wise, who was also on Big Brother with the star, penned: "Powerful service at church mass today in memory of Nikki who would have been 40 tomorrow. All prayers went out for those suffering with anorexia or any eating disorder.

"The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" Psalm 34:18 #bigbrother #memories #greatness."

In 2020, her close friends had raised over £70,000 for her treatment after her anorexia worsened in lockdown.

Unfortunately, Nikki had been in hospital for three weeks but died less than 24 hours after she was discharged.

Earlier this month, Channel 4 aired a documentary titled Nikki Grahame: Who Is She? which explored her tragic battle with her eating disorder.
