The BBC presenter highlighted the turbulent last few months Queen Elizabeth II has faced as the UK’s Monarch. Huw Edwards stated that viewers watching the Queen’s Speech would have Her Majesty’s sense of duty.

Mr Edwards said: “It is remarkable when you think that the Queen there reading the contents of another speech.

“She has read so many, at least 67 of them.

“She is 95 and just appeared with all the usual authority and grace.

“Really I thought it was something to reflect on when you think what the Queen has been through over the last few months.

“People watching will be thinking that is someone who knows what duty is.”
